Boys Are A
Gender Equality!

What we do

Boys2Men equips young men to embrace healthy masculinity, emotional intelligence and empathy so as to cultivate a generation of men who become allies in the fight against gender-based violence and gender equality, promoting a safer and more equitable society for all. We advocate for gender balanced relationships, solid family support structures and healthy work/life environments. #HeforShe

The “No Limits” Boot Camp

The “No Limits” Boot Camp

Our boot camp is designed to challenge our young men to self reflect, identify areas that challenge them, and to equipment them with support mechanisms to navigate through real life scenarios.
The Boys2Men Experience

The Boys2Men Experience

This bi-monthly initiative, hosted in various community spaces, brings boys from different backgrounds to discuss real-life experiences and challenges.(etc substance abuse, parental/peer pressure)
Parental Workshops

Parental Workshops

Parents are a big part of the process when it comes to nurturing our boys in a conducive environment that shows them how men should treat women and how they should see them as equals. Children shape their early behaviors and values from within the home. It is critical for us to start sharing this narrative at an early age.
Wellness Programming

Wellness Programming

This program is designed to empower young boys to develop the resilience and emotional intelligence necessary to become well-rounded men.

Communicate – Re-shape the narrative, educate and normalize the conversations with young men and women regarding the challenges young men face.

"WITHOUT HEALTHY MEN..."

We have lost an entire generation

Our 'Why'

Over the past 30 years, we have witnessed the incredible evolution of women’s empowerment, seeing more females entering professions and holding positions that were traditionally male dominated. The girl child narrative was, and continues to be, a necessary and critical part of our journey to equality, allowing a bigger conversation today, around the issues of Equity. Unfortunately, we still have so much work to do.

For gender equality to exist, the boy child needs to actively participate.

For us to witness the sustainable reduction of Gender Based Violence (GBV) cases in Africa, girls need continuous focus however our boys need to become a part of the conversation

  • Men are three times as likely to die from suicide compared to women.
  • Men are twice as likely to develop an alcohol and substance use problem compared to women.
  • Men are six times as likely to die from alcohol-related problems.

One in 10 young men in Zimbabwe reported, having experienced sexual abuse during childhood.

These stats are alarming. If this is the case, how many of our males suffer from depression, anxiety, societal pressure to ‘man up’ and what interventions can organizations establish to address male wellness? These stats indicate that there is work that needs to be done to nurture our future fathers, future male leaders, future husbands/partners.
